The food an its presentation are beyond compare with delicious flavors and aromas at each meal! The views from our room onto the garden are splendid. The staff are very friendly, caring and extremely welcoming. I thoroughly enjoyed the baths both private and ladies bath and found the Mukaitaki a very charming ryokan and look forward to returning some day. My son and his family also plan to travel to Aizu to stay at Mukaitaki.

The only drawbacks are that there are shared bathrooms, in the Japanese style, and the walls are thin, so if anyone near you is being noisy at night, you do hear it.

Mukaitaki has a very warm, relaxed, welcoming atmosphere and I would heartily recommend it to anyone seeking a ryokan in Aizu. Homeikan is a fantastic place to stay in Tokyo. It is a beautiful old traditional Japanese inn, all wooden, very unusual.
