Great atmosphere and location. Lovely Japanese style rooms e.g. futons, green tea. Yes, would recommend very much. Felt very safe in the hotel. Easy to find and we loved the monkey park, onsen and food! Extremely helpful staff. Number one!

Stayed at Shibu Hotel, Shibu Onsen, Nagano Prefecture

The service was excellent. One of the staff members helped us figure out the phone number of another hostel for our next destination and another one drove us to the train station even though the shuttle service they had hadn't started yet. They go the extra mile to make sure you get the best stay possible. Facilities are good and the onsen has a great view of the river and mountains. Highly recommended.

Stayed at Benten-no Yado Itsukushima, Miyajima, Hiroshima Prefecture.

The staff was friendly and the room was great; also bigger than what we'd gotten used too. To find the place, we had a taxi call the hotel to ask for directions. I'd recommend ordering (Japanese) breakfast at this hotel. The breakfast was good, but the best part was starting the day off by having it served to our room. Great service. If anime/manga/maid cafes is your thing, don't miss out Den Den town, which is within walking distance.
